GRWM - Lighting Designer

Baylor University Workshop

Director: Stacey Schiller

Photography: Elise Fuselier

Professor Mentor: JoJo Jones

Postmodern Devised scene in which the director was given a piece of art from the Dallas Museum of Art to distill into a concept. A “get ready with me " video was used as the inspiration. Stratifying that idea into five sections, I used light to interpret the emotions humans experience as they present themselves in life. One challenge i ran into was the use of while fabric and balancing color between them and the stage.

1963: We Have News For You! - Lighting Designer

Baylor University Workshop

Director: Silas Robles

Photos: Elise Fuselier

Professor Mentor: JoJo Jones

A Postmodern devised scene where the director was given the prompt 1963, and the word Zeitgeist. The director wanted to use religious symbols through stained glass motifs.

The Misanthrope

Baylor University Workshop

Director: Kiley Towne

Professor Mentor: JoJo Jones

This adaptation of Moliere’s The Misanthrope was set in the world of an 80’s prom. The director and I wanted to simulate the “hallway” of the prom, using a slow, color-changing sidelight and some circular “disco ball” breakup effects. We simulated the whimsy and heightened emotions of Moliere’s comedy and high school emotions.
